AN ORPHAN
IN the streets of Mecca walked a little child weeping. He had clothes
hardly to cover his body with and he was foot sore. Muhammad (pbuh)
who had great love for children was moved to tears. He took the child
in his lap. He was an orphan and was very hungry as he had not eaten
anything for many days. Muhammad (pbuh) took him to his own house,
gave him food to eat and clothes to wear and kept him as his own child
until he was safely delivered to his relatives.
