PROCLAIMED
FOR about a year Muhammad (pbuh) went on preaching the great religion
quietly and now his followers numbered about forty. Great numbers.
This was a good sign and it encouraged Muhammad (pbuh). He went into
the Kaaba and proclaimed the One-ness of God.
“What cheek” said the slaves of the idols and fell furiously
upon him. A friend named Harith heard of it and ran to resist the
attack of his enemies and rescue his beloved prophet. They spared
the prophet and killed his friend.
